FINALLY OVER!

Yep.

The day has come.

School is finally out!!

To celebrate the momentous occasion, I stayed up until 2:30 a.m. last night with my best friend and slept in really late.  And, yes, I'm exhausted right now.

Honestly, I have no idea what to do with my time.  Never mind I've got a ton of stuff to do.  My brain just can't seem to handle a weekday that allows me to write EVERY FREE HOUR!!

Anyway, if I don't start making goals for the summer, it's just going to completely pass me by.

So, here I go.

I want to read at least 8 books over the summer.  I'm a slow reader, but maybe, just maybe I can get eight books out of the way.

I want to finish the complete second draft of The Inferiors.  That might be pushing it, but I think if I work really hard, I can do it.

I want to pass my Intermediate moves in skating.

Okay, I know I've got a ton of other things I have to do, but they're not really coming to mind at the moment.   (Maybe it's because I'm so tired?)

Either way, I'm going to have a very busy, writing filled summer.

What are your goals for the summer?

HAVE AN AMAZING WEEKEND!!

My goals are the same as your goals are. I really want to finish the first draft of my novel, read 10 books, and also practice my instruments.

Sorry for keeping you up really late! :D

I'm doing Camp NaNoWriMo, so my goal is to finish the first draft of my novel by the end of June. Then, my goal is to get a second draft done. I'm considering doing Camp NaNo again in August, but I'm not sure if that's crazy. lol

I just hope my kids don't kill each other while schools out. Lol

Have a great and productive summer!

I'm hoping to reach the McKinley (500-mile) achievement on the Expresso bike over the summer. I'm already about 82% of the way there. I'm also hoping to finish both of my WIPs (a 1940s and 1980s historical) by the end of the summer, so I can start my third Russian novel. That one's going to take all my time and attention, seeing as how I'm expecting it to be the longest one in that family saga yet and tip the scales at at least 450,000 words.

Good luck on passing all of your goals! Especially completing the second draft of The Inferiors! :D

I want to learn as much as I can during my CIT program this summer, because next summer I'll be a full-fledged counselor.

As for other goals, I'd really just like to not neglect my writing. That might sound like an incredibly easy goal, but I'll super busy and absolutely exhausted during any of my free time.

Great goals, girly! What books are you going to read? Might I once again recommend Enders Game? Super awesome great book that I think you'll really enjoy :)

Good for you! Goals in summer are something I never really set at your age. Now my goal is just to make it until September...oh yeah, and vacationing in Belize one week from tomorrow!!!

I'm doing Camp NaNoWriMo as well, and then I'm outlining to do either the second Camp or NaNoWriMo itself. Depends on how the outlining goes.

Otherwise, I'm gardening, and I hope to learn to can!

Sounds like some great goals for the summer!

I'm a slow reader, too. I get so involved in visualizing everything, savoring every word, or using reading as research that it takes me longer.

My goals are to make lots of jewelry for some upcoming craft shows and for my Etsy store. I also plan to finish my fourth round of revisions and catch up on my reading.

Good luck with your goals! :)

Good luck with your goals! They seem ambitious, yet achievable, which is a good balance. I'm hoping to finish my draft of "Hippie Dippy" this summer, and keep up with my reading goal of 35 books this year (which should be easy, but I read some long books!). Do you do Goodreads? It's a great way to find books and track your reading.

Querying and working on WIPs - that's what I'll be doing.

I also try to add to my photo collection for future blogs.

One of my biggest goals for this summer is to figure out a way to be far more effective as a marketer of my book.

Meeting people at book fairs is a lot of fun but selling my book essentially on a one-on-one basis will take me a million years to reach my sales goal. That, I conclude, is not acceptable. I’m a firm believer in the saying, “Where there is a will, there is a way.” I hope to pave the way for your books to follow in my path.

Love, Grandma
