Good morning, everyone! Today is the long awaited Halloween! Well, actually it's tomorrow that I'm waiting for. I keep checking my NaNoWriMo meter to see how many hours I have before I can start writing! I'm at the edge of my seat here! I swear, the moment I finish my school work for the day, I'll be typing away! (That kind of rhymed...)
Anyway, today is also the launch day of Elizabeth Mueller's first novel called Darkspell which can be found HERE on Amazon. Congratulations Elizabeth!
Okay so the prompt for the Spookfesta is:
If I had all the magic in the world, I'd...
Increase technology so that we find a way to travel through space efficiently and not have to wait eighty thousand years to get to the nearest star!
*That's actually not an exaggeration. If you traveled at seventeen kilometers per second (roughly the speed of Voyager 1), and headed straight in the direction of Alpha Centauri (the closest star) it would take about eighty thousand years for you to get there.
With that being said, I think we could use a little magic to help speed up the process there, or we're never going to see a planet outside of the solar system!
Alrighty, go congratulate Elizabeth and check out her awesome book!
Happy Halloween!

How do you like the new blog layout? I think it's a little more sophisticated than before. What do you think?

DARKSPELL sounds really interesting. I'm hoping over to check it out! :)
And your answer? The awesomest. Advancing space travel so that we'd be able to experience it in our lifetime would be so wonderful.
And I love the new blog layout! Love the green. :)
Imagine all the new worlds we'd visit? If only we could travel so fast! I love astronomy...
I like the look of your blog! I've been thinking about changing mine as well so that it doesn't look so squished. :P
Thank you for participating, Happy Halloween!

Hey there Jess! Fixing space travel...you are my hero. Wield that magic, girl. Happy Halloween! :)
Ah. That's perfect! I'd love to travel to other worlds. Happy Halloween!
Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to check it out!

Prerna & Sarah~ Thanks for stopping by!
We could definitely do with a Star Wars-ian lightspeed-type thing to be able to explore a bit more.
I love the new blog layout! So refreshing!
Cool way to use magic. I would probably use magic in a more selfish way--like making my house clean itself so I won't have to do it. ;)
