The Lake

Half moon showing,

Daylight growing,

Lighting the morning sky.

Breeze is blowing,

Water is flowing,

Reflecting the midnight stars.

Moon is higher,

Stars like fire,

Putting all creatures to bed.

Horizon's gold,

Bird wings unfold,

And another day rises on Crystal Lake.
