O is for Oppressed

O is for Oppressed

We’re outnumbered and broken.
We lie in wait, for the day that we will be free. Saved from this hell that they call our country. Yet, it doesn’t belong to us.
We all know that if we stood up to them, we might be let go.
But no one’s brave enough to do it.
Not yet.

Wow, this A-Z Challenge is a lot harder than it sounded when I signed up. Luckily, I love challenges most of the time.

Also, here's a really random word I found:

otorhinolaryngology/ˌōtōˌrīnōˌlarəNGˈgäləjē/

Noun:
The study of diseases of the ear, nose, and throat.

Yeah, try pronouncing that within the next ten minutes! I had to look it up on google and then click the 'pronounce' button to figure it out! It's crazy!

Okay, here's the song Faceless by Red:

I'm not really sure if it goes with the Oppressed theme, but I couldn't really find anything else. And, I love this song. When I'm writing fight scenes, this is one of the songs I use :)

I know I asked this question a while ago, but that was when I had like, 20 followers. So, I'll ask again.

Do you guys listen to music while you write? If so, what do you listen to?

Have an Over-joyous (Is that even a word?) day!

Great snippet again! I'm finding it challenging to write every single day too. Thankfully, I 've been able to come up with topics, but it sure is time-consuming between the writing of the posts (I need to be more brief) and replying to comments. It's been really fun, though, so that's good :)

I write to music all the time. My current project has an Asian MC, so I'll listen to some Yoshida brothers.

I studied martial arts for nearly 30 years, so I will often physically choreograph fight scenes, really plan them out.

There's nothing like reading a crappy fight scene, or one that is either confusing or you can tell the person writing it has no idea what it's like to actually be in a fight.

I did a bunch of posts on this, as I find fight scenes are like love scenes - done well, it draws the reader in. Done not so well will turn them off.

I've actually just started listening to music as a write before I had to have silence or the TV droning on. I like your word oppression; it really goes with the writing that I'm about to do on my book. ;)

Nice work...but I'm noticing that your A-Z words are often opposite of your Mom's A-Z. Coincidence? :)

For the most part, I like no sound when I need to concentrate.

When I'm in the mood for some music, I listen to classical music - primarily piano and violin; sometimes guitar.

Once in a great while, when I need a change of pace, I listen to Japanese music by Kitaro, Masashi Sada, and Mieko Hirota.

Wow...what a word. I'm usually good with words but this one stumbled me. I'm very impressed that you're doing this challenge at your age. Well done.
Rhia from Five Minute Piece for Inspriation (about #776 on the A to Z list).
